Congratulations to the boys basketball team on winning the Wilson Charger Christmas Classic this past weekend. This
marks back to back tournament championships for the Warriors who won last years event at Wilson Christian.
The boys won Friday’s opening game against Faith Christian - Rocky Mount 52-39. Down 26-21 at the half, the Warriors
took control in the second half, outscoring their opponents 31-13 to secure their spot in the championship game on
Saturday. Noah Curtsinger (21 points) and Garrett Brown (20 points) led ACS in scoring.
On Saturday the boys beat Wilmington Christian in a hard fought battle 59-58. Noah Curtsinger (17 points, 6 assists),
Holden Yakola (17 points, 7 rebounds), and Garrett Brown (15 points) once again led the Warriors. Brown was named
to the All Tournament team and Curtsinger took home Tournament MVP honors.
The girls team won their opening game against Faith Christian - Rocky Mount 53-44 before losing in the championship
game to Wilmington Christian 41-17. Congratulations to Selah Johnson for earning All Tournament honors.
The teams travel to Faith Christian - Ramseur for a match up this week before returning home for two games next
week against Tabernacle Christian and Union Grove.
