The 2024 Alamance Christian Fall Sports teams recently concluded very successful seasons. Leading the way was the

boys’ soccer team that finished 12-5 and played in the Final Four of the NCCSA state tournament. The girls Volleyball

team finished 8-8, was first in their District and made it to the second round of the state tournament. On the middle

school front, the girls cross-country team won the Middle School state championship.

Six individuals garnered post season honors in all three sports. Senior Annabelle Dowell capped off a successful career

earning All-State honors in volleyball. Annabelle led her team in multiple statistical categories including kills (161), aces

(56), blocks (47), hitting percentage (.496%) and serve percentage (87%).

Four members of the boys soccer team were honored for their efforts this season. Juniors Garrett Brown, midfielder,

and striker Holden Yakola earned All-State recognition in soccer. Garrett was the team’s leading scorer and 4th in

NCCSA rankings with 65 points, was 4th in the state rankings with 26 goals and finished 3rd in the state rankings in

both points per game and goals per game. Holden finished 7th in the state rankings in scoring with 43 points, led the

team with 17 assists and was 1st in the state rankings in assists per game. Senior goalkeeper Eli Hayes and junior mid-

fielder Aksel Moum earned All-Region honors. Eli finished the year with a 1.6 goals against average and Aksel finished

third on the team in scoring with 15 points on 5 goals and 5 assists.

Senior Trent Johnson of the cross-country team rounded out post season honors with his tenth place finish in the state

meet at the Ivey Redmond Sports Complex course.
